JYP's Wonder Girls were in Thailand lately, much to the delight of their Thai fans. And i am talking about many many fans...around 10,000 of 'em.
The "Tell Me" dance fever has latched on like a contagious bug in Bangkok and girls and boys alike hopped onto stage to show that they know the Korean girl group's dance routine. If you know the moves and watch the girls on TV... well you can imagine the excitement and the screams when The Wonder Girls got onto stage and performed their fluid "Tell Me" dance. The fans screamed and shouted! I bet you would too!!

Mysterious good/bad guy: Lee jun-ki is behind the mask
My Girl actor Lee Joon-ki will be playing a Robin Hood-like character in his latest historical drama entitled Iljimae (일지매).
To be aired over the SBS network, the 20-episode drama is set during the Chosun Dynasty where a man named Ryung masquerades as a useless bully in the marketplace during the day, but goes about as a chivalrous robber at night!
Motto: 'Rob from the rich and give it to the poor!'
In true Robin Hood tradition, the character robs from the rich and corrupt Government officials to give to the poor. Known as Il Ji-mae to the masses, the robber typically leaves his calling card behind in the form of a plum tree's branch after each robbery.
The 26-year-old Joon-ki portrays the titular character with support from Han Hyo-joo, Lee Young-ah and Park Shi-hoo. The series will be aired in Korea from May 21 onwards.

Earlier in the week, Myolie Wu, Kevin Cheng, Bosco Wong, and Aimee Chan Yan Mei attended the costume fitting for "Burning Flame 3" 《烈火雄心 3》.
Myolie wore a long haired wig at the costume fitting. Since her character holds a clerical position in the fire department, her image was quite reserved. Myolie revealed that she will be in a love triangle with Wong He and Kevin Cheng. On the other hand, Myolie's character will not be involved with real life rumored boyfriend, Bosco Wong.
Reporters teased Myolie that she lacks the fortune of rumored couple Patrick Tang and Selena Li in starring as onscreen lovers in their recent series.
Myolie responded awkwardly, "Since I have not collaborated with Kevin Cheng before, this will produce a refreshing feeling. I believe there will be good chemistry between us, as he is my dancing partner on 《舞動奇跡 2》. During our dancing routines, he often had to toss me about. When we film fire scenes for 'Burning Flame 3,' he will be able to do so again!"
Does Myolie possess the confidence to emerge as the winner on 《舞動奇跡 2》? "The other competitors are very talented. Kevin and I have been trying our best. Kevin has been working hard, sweating profusely in the daily practice sessions. I have tried to eat less and reduce my weight. Hopefully my decreased body weight will reduce his burden."
Kevin will play a firefighter in "Burning Flame 3." He revealed that he bruised his hands and knees from practicing for 《舞動奇跡 2》. Working with Myolie as a dance partner was a suitable warm-up for their upcoming collaboration in "Burning Flame 3."
Bosco Wong will also act as a firefighter in the series. However, he will be romantically involved with Aimee Chan instead.
Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, Rabeea Yeung, Gregory Lee Wing Ho, and other TVB artists born in the month of May appeared at the "May Birthday Party Celebration." Wayne's birthday was on May 4th, thus he already celebrated with his family. Delightfully surprising Wayne, his son delivered Wayne's gift via a remote controlled airplane.
Wayne also has another ideal birthday present. In July, Wayne will be filming new series "Wives and Mistresses In Groups"《妻妾成群》as the main lead actor.

I know by now everyone has heard that So Ji Sub will be starring in the upcoming Japanese movie Gegege no Kitaro 2, but did you know he will be looking like this?……

God he is so unrecognizable…at first I thought this was some kind of visual kei (jrock) artist. There is some major make-up and styling going on in this movie. Hmm sounds like he will have a major role especially if he’s fighting against the main character Kitaro, played by Wentz Eiji.
Well So Ji Sub will make his freakish appreance in Japan theaters on July 12 .
Epik High’s Tablo revealed that he has a habit of recording while half-naked. On KBS 2TV Star Golden Bell that aired May 10, Tablo said, “I have a habit of taking nearly all my clothes off while recording.” So what does he not take off?
Tablo explained that while rapping, he moves around a lot and his clothes make a lot of rustling noises. Thus, to prevent background distortions he started stripping … (just imagine that shirt slipping off his shoulders).
In addition, Epik High members feel comfortable being naked in the studio when they are together. However; ocassionally, a few food delivery men (probably delivering the ubiquitous jjajangmyun -black bean noodles) get a shock when they see them in the studio without any clothes on.
Tablo also revealed that when he’s too lonely, he goes to Mithra Jin’s room and sleeps, saying ” It feels nice to hug and snuggle up to Mithra because he’s soft.” Right, because Mithra is Tablo’s giant teddy bear!
Regardless of their eccentric ways, Epik High makes some awesome music.
In fact, Epik High finally snagged the Mutizen Song Award for SBS Inkigayo on May 11. They made their first successful attempt to overcome fierce competition and block MC Mong’s grand slam on various music charts with their hit title song, “One.” So far MC Mong has thrown all the music shows into a circus, winning 3 mutizen awards already - 2 from KBS Music Bank and another from MBC Music Core.
However, Epik High has always ranked 1st in album sales so they must be happy because they’re making lots of money.
Last, but not least, Tablo transforms into a ‘Batman Waiter’ in SBS Change!
So you’re probably wondering what a ‘Batman Waiter’ is…me too.
Anyway, Tablo guest starred on SBS Change to show his love for his parents, disguising as a waiter at a fancy restaurant. He felt that if he disguised himself as someone else, he would be less shy towards his parents and be able to show his true emotions.
He planned out a special project to thank his parents, who have worked all their lives for their kids. Tablo also got help from his brother, Dave, who graduated from an IVY-league, for the surprise. (His family has some smart genes.) Are you still wondering why Tablo is the ‘Batman Waiter’? Well, here comes the explanation. So while the Tablo was serving his parents, Dave threw out a dangerous question, “Doesn’t the waiter look like Tablo?” At that moment, Tablo’s mom looked at the waiter (her son) and said, “He looks like Batman!” Luckily, his parents were not able to recognize him until the end.
Tablo and his parents also went up on stage and danced to ‘Love Twist’.
Devastating news for the people involved with the movie Speed Racer…..itonly made 20 million 18 million dollars (actually 18.6 million) over the weekend, which here in the US is seen as a BIG FAILURE. Since movies like this take over 100 million dollars to make, and having noteable directors and producer this is a very big disappointment. But not only that Speed Racer is now seen as the first (and maybe the only) flop of the summer.
Speed Racer came in a very distant 2nd place after IRON MAN which brought in over 50 million in it’s second week as #1. Also Speed Racer barely made it to the second spot beating out the CORNIEST movie of this summer WHAT HAPPEN IN VEGAS (coming in around 20.1 million) by only a 100,000 dollars.
EDIT: Well official numbers are out, Speed Racer actually only made 18.6 million and came in third place behind WHAT HAPPEN IN VEGAS. Sad so very sad.
Rain’s Hollywood debut as for now can be seen as a huge leap for a native Korean, but as for a break out star and in the movie language (money) not so good. Lets just hope he has a better chance with Ninja Assassin.
Also in news Rain’s first feature in a major gossip magazine, PEOPLE magazine is not starting off so good either. People magazine wanted to shed some light on the upcoming star with a Q&A, but the only problem is that they used Karl Yune’s picture (who is also in the movie) instead of a picture of Rain.
WTF! And if you notice the author is ASIAN. You telling me your @SS is asian and you can’t tell the difference between the two asian stars. At least as an writer for a magazine that your getting paid for, and is seen by millions of people you could at least do some research. Actually not even that, but use YOUR FREAKING EYES just a little. IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK?!
Anyways it seems that Rain’s official US debut as an actor is not jumping off so well. Oh well I hope for a better next weekend. OH SNAP! Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian comes out next weekend. Damn! well better luck with the DVD sells.

If you’re currently in need of good laugh, or looking for some smart comedy to fill your boring weekend, or if you are just a 23 year old worn-out worker with no boyfriend, no parties on weekend, no energy left to move your ass downtown on saturday night (to make it simple : no life), you might wanna watch this movie - Going By The Book. This sure will crack you up.
It’s about a traffic police Jung Do Man (Jeong Jae Young) who was chosen to act as the robber in a bank-robbery drill. Being a dedicated officer (or perhaps a talented actor) as he was, he pulled his best as a robber, and put the police force’s dignity at stake. The supposed to be ‘fun’ drill, turned out to be a whole-day drama with 8 dead victims (meaning 8 people with ‘dead’ tags on their chests)…and one raped (yeah, just the tag too).

You can feel Jang Jin’s signature in the whole movie as he was one of the scriptwriters. The witty dialogue, weird situations that led to your bursting laughters, and even Jeong Jae Young.
( Just like Pavlov’s conditional reflexes, i’ve learned to associate Jeong Jae Young to Jang Jin, as you can find him in most of Jang Jin’s works. Check Someone Special, The Big Scene, Guns and Talks, or even the migrating birds in My Son, where Jeong Jae Young dubbed the clueless father-bird) . (And yes, i’m a big fan of Jang Jin, and Jeong Jae Young. Maybe one day you can see me next to the red carpet of a movie premiere, screaming like DBSK fangirls, “Jang Jin Oppa!! I wanna have your baby!!”…just that i might be the only one who scream cos,well…unlike DBSK, Jang Jin is not “The Most Handsome Man in Asia”, and he doesn’t dance nor sing nor whatever boybands do, so perhaps not so many girls would be willing to join me fangirling a movie director…)
Anyway.
Jung Do Man was not the only character worth-notice in this movie. The negotiator with his terrible voice problem somehow had liven up the scene, especially when he paired up with Jung Do Man’s mum, who instead of asking her son to surrender~as the negotiator wished, she asked for Do Man’s seal-stamp cos she needed it to lease her house.
Do Man’s co-officers also drew laughters since the beginning. Check what this officer had to say when the chief ( the one with glasses) asked about his plan to solve the string of bank robberies happened in their city.
and a little romance won’t hurt nobody.

By the end of the movie (a very dramatic ending for just a training, by the way), you’d realize that you just laughed at the irony of how the cops couldn’t even take down a solo robber in their own drill.
